Why Is The Coronavirus Happening?

How God can use the coronavirus in our world today Written by GodLife on 14/04/2019 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: Fear, Prayer, Coronavirus, Covid 19, Protection fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 Fear is an emotion God has built into us for momentary protection. He does not intend for us to live in the condition of fear. Our choice is either to live in faith or to live in fear. If we live in faith, it removes anxiety. I notice my neighbors in a great state of anxiety. Scripture includes 366 fear-not verses in the Bible, which means every day we wake up there's another one. What may be happening here? 1) God is calling people of the world to turn to Him for protection. This is no surprise to Him; He saw this coming. 2) He's calling His church to be His faithful witnesses and not carry out business as usual. It’s time for the gosp

Verse:   1 Samuel 17:50 ‘And so, without a sword, David defeated and killed Goliath with a sling and a stone!’ - The Lord can use what seems insignificant to give you the victory. - With God, a sling and a stone can become a weapon of mass destruction. - The challenge and obstacle in front of you can be defeated with His help. - Humanity may see only one solution, but the Lord can use anything! PRAYER: Lord, when You are with me, I can walk in victory, and I can know that the giant in front of me will fall. Amen. Have a blessed Tuesday. Kind Regards

OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL DO A SUPERNATURAL WORK !!!!!

Image
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL DO A SUPERNATURAL WORK !!!!! John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are IN THE GRAVES shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 11: 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Comfort one another with these words

Are You Angry with God?

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much injustice in the world? Written by Hope on 28/07/2013 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: Anger, Bitter, Emotions, God "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (Romans 8:28) Life Is Unfair How in the world can a pandemic be used by God for good? Sin in our world makes it difficult to understand the world as God wants it to be. Bad things happen to "good people," and "good people" sometimes let - or even make - bad things happen. "Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard" (Romans 3:23). It is so easy to want to sin. Why is life not easier? You might wonder, Why would God make a world where horrible things can happen? You might even be furious with Him. But injustice exists because of sin; God created people "for [His] glory" (Isaiah 43:7). God

THE LORD - MY GUARDIAN and MY KEEPER

Image
I believe this message will bring you HOPE, HELP and ENCOURAGEMENT. There's nothing like the Word of God to bring hope and restore courage. God's Word is powerful. It can break shackles. It can break despair. Let's turn our attention to one of the Psalms. This psalm could quite possibly be considered as 'the most encouraging psalm' in God's Word. If not the most encouraging, then at least one of the most encouraging. It is Psalm 121. Psalm 121:1-8 (NKJV) 'I will lift up my eyes to the hills - from whence comes my help?  My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper [other translations: protector or guardian]; the LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

What is True Worship According to the Bible?

Image
Worshiping both in Spirit and Truth Written by Dan Lee on 23/08/2016 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: God, Singing, Worship The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24 In John 4:23-24, Jesus spoke about worship with the Samaritan woman. Let’s try to understand what true worship is according to the Bible, and how you can apply it to your own relationship with God: 1. True worship requires our spirit. “. . . true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit . . .” Does this mean our spirit, or God’s Holy Spirit? Actually, it’s both! Worship is meant to include our whole self. This is why the Lord commanded Israel in Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” Both publicly and privately, we must not

PRAYER: Lord, I look to You and Your words. I will not be swayed by all I hear and see, but I will place my trust and confidence in You. I believe what You say and that settles it! Amen. What is Worship?

Image
It's Not About Us Written by Jim Denison on 15/11/2015 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: Glory, Praise, Purity, Purpose “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30 This verse describes true worship. Do you worship your Maker? We need to know what worship is, what it isn't, and why it matters so much to our God and to our souls. What Worship Is God defines worship as "love": "Love the Lord your God." Love is a verb, an action word. It requires doing, not just attending church, listening to a sermon, singing hymns, or giving money. You've only worshipped when you've loved, adored, and honored. And it is about loving God in every way a human can love. With all our hearts: our emotions and senses. With all our souls: the life force itself, that which gives our bodies life, our essence. Worship involves a passionate love for God. With all our minds: We a

Man dies after ingesting chloroquine in an attempt to prevent coronavirus

The man and his wife thought the ingredient, used to treat sick fish, could prevent the disease. March 23, 2020, 11:22 PM SAST  /  Updated March 23, 2020, 11:53 PM SAST By Erika Edwards and Vaughn Hillyard An Arizona man has died after ingesting chloroquine phosphate — believing it would protect him from becoming infected with the coronavirus. The man's wife also ingested the substance and is under critical care. The toxic ingredient they consumed was not the medication form of chloroquine, used to treat malaria in humans. Instead, it was an ingredient listed on a parasite treatment for fish. The man's wife told NBC News she'd watched televised briefings during which  President Trump talked about the potential benefits of chloroquine . Even though no drugs are approved to prevent or treat COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, some early research suggests it may be useful as a  therapy . "We were afraid of getting sick."

Worshiping God in Spirit and Truth

Image
The Humble Devotion of Knowing God Written by GodLife on 07/02/2016 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: Faith, Holy Spirit, Trinity God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24 God says, “just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9) The book of Job says, “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out.” (Job 37:23, AMP) But God tells Jeremiah, “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom… If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. (Jeremiah 9:23-24) God wants to be known and understood! To have faith is to understand things about Him. We “must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) God’s unity—in diversity—is one of the most important things to know about Him. To hold this truth we must know three other things: We Cannot Bring Him Down To Our Level Although Christ

The Darkness or the Light

Image
Are you worshipping in the light? Written by GodLife on 13/11/2018 Series: Weekly Devotional Tags: Church, Cults, Religion, God, Jesus I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. John 12:46 The old saying, “All that glitters is not gold,” is truth. Just because something looks like gold and feels like gold does not mean it is gold. Have you ever heard of fool’s gold? It looks like the real thing, but it is worthless. Those who know the real thing well enough know the difference. On the road to Damascus, Jesus appeared to Paul (Acts 9) and told him he was to open the eyes of the Jews and the Gentiles to bring them out of the darkness into the light, from the power of Satan to the power of God, that they may receive forgiveness of sin and have a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Him. Where do you stand? Are you worshipping in darkness or in light? Only One God There is only one God in three persons: Father

Assembling Together - Who has God linked me with?

Image
…not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. Hebrews 10:25 Next to nurturing a close personal relationship with the Lord, make it an ongoing priority to join with other followers of Jesus. Groups of believers, or “churches,” come in many packages. They range from small clusters who gather secretly in regions where such practices are forbidden, to “mega-churches” of tens of thousands of Christians. Vital churches that are healthy, vibrant and strategic are central to God’s purposes for these days. Look for a church that reflects patterns and practices followed by New Testament gatherings as described in Acts 2:42. Four components fueled their rapid growth and stunning impact: Teaching kept them rooted in “sound doctrine.” Fellowship kindled friendship, worship, mutual encouragement and boldness. Breaking bread meant having meals together in homes. Prayers reflected their dependence on God for wisdom, guidance and strength. What is your next step for Christian fe

The future of the next 15 - 20 days of the COVID-19 Pandemic

One of my close friends just got this message from an overseas team member of theirs in France, and I wanted to pass it along.  Stay safe and be prepared. "Hey Team! I'm writing from the future... well,  your  future since we're 15-20 days ahead of you in the pandemic. In France we're entering lockdown tomorrow, but make no mistake you'll enter lockdown too, next week (if you're lucky, the earlier the better) or the week after. By now, you must have all stocked on food and supplies, hand sanitizers, liquid soaps and chlorine-based wipes and disinfectants (very important!). - Don't make the mistake of thinking that it's just like the flu. It's not. We have one of the best healthcare system in the world, miles ahead of Italy, and it's already being overwhelmed in some areas.
