Verse:    Isaiah 46:4 ‘I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.’ - This is one of those very reassuring promises from God’s Word. - He undertakes to be your God throughout your lifetime. - There is never a moment when He is not there, or when He has left you. - He will care for you, He will carry you and He will save you, PRAYER:  Lord, thank You that right now You are with me. At this time of concern and vulnerability, You remain the One Who cares, carries, and rescues me. Amen. Welcome to February.

    The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man ( Genesis 2:7 ) and animals ( Genesis 1:30 ;   6:17 ;   7:15 ,   22 ) have the “breath of life”; that is, both man and animals are living beings. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God ( Genesis 1:26-27 ), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death. Verse:    Luke 7:10 ‘When the messengers returned to the house, they found the servant in good health.’ - The Lord is able to turn any situation around. - Nothing is too difficult, or too hard for Him. - Faith is the aspect in us, that moves God. - Believe, that He can step into your situation and turn it around.   The world suffers from great turmoil and distress. People are distrustful of one another, and they certainly do not trust their governmental representatives. Doing my part to emphasize rational discourse and valid hermeneutical practices, it is necessary to investigate the source behind the mark of the beast. In full disclosure, this article affirms the futurist perspective of the book of Revelation. Futurists believe that much of the book of Revelation speaks to future prophetic events that will play out in the end-times. P

Verse:    Luke 7:9 Turning to the crowd that was following Him, Jesus said, ‘I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!’ - We are living in difficult times, and these times call for great faith. - This is not a time for fear and distress. - This is a time to trust God like never before. - May you be one of those people who is known for having great faith! PRAYER:  Lord, I reject all fear, anxiety, and despair, and I declare that I believe in You. I trust You in this season of my life. The Bible mentions six specific people who committed suicide: Abimelech ( Judges 9:54 ), Saul ( 1 Samuel 31:4 ), Saul’s armor-bearer ( 1 Samuel 31:4–6 ),  Ahithophel  ( 2 Samuel 17:23 ), Zimri ( 1 Kings 16:18 ), and Judas ( Matthew 27:5 ). Five of these men were noted for their wickedness (the exception is Saul’s armor-bearer—nothing is said of his character). Some consider Samson’s death an instance of suicide, because he knew his actions would lead to his death ( Judges 16:26–31 ), but Samson’s goal was to kill Philistines, not himself. The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is—self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die. We should say with the psalmist, “My times are in your hands” ( Psalm 31:15 ). God is the giver of life. He gives, and He takes away ( Job 1:21 ). Suicide, the taking of one’s own life, is ungodly because it rejects God’s gift of life. No man or woman should presume to take God’s authority upon themselves

Verse:    John 1:50 Jesus said to him, ‘You will see greater things than these.’ - The Lord wants to take you on to greater things. - Don’t settle for more of the same, believe for more. - He wants to take you from glory to glory and from strength to strength. - So put God first in all you do, and watch what He will do. PRAYER:  Lord, thank You that You have so much more in store for me. I choose to lift You higher and to believe that You will come and lift me up, and show me the ‘greater things’ I have yet to see and discover. Amen. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Verse:    Psalm 138:3 ‘On the day I called, You answered me; And You made me bold and confident with renewed strength in my life.’ - The security of knowing that God hears our call, give us confidence. - He wants to come alongside you to embolden and empower you. - Know for sure that He hears you, and He will be with you, regardless of the flood. - May He come and renew your strength and give you confidence. PRAYER:  Lord, in this moment, I choose to believe that You hear me when I call to You in prayer. I receive boldness, confidence, and renewed strength from You right now. Amen. But all too often their understanding of the rapture is based more on popular writings like the  Left Behind  series than Scripture itself. The intent of this article is to look at what the Bible has to say about the rapture. What Is the Rapture? Rapture is not a word that is found in Scripture. But it is used to describe a very biblical doctrine; the return of Christ and the gathering up of his elect. This doctrine is central to the hope that we have as believers. There are many scenarios of the end times that have been drawn from Jesus’ Revelation to John. But I do not find that there are any unambiguous references to the rapture contained in Revelation. Much of how one interprets Revelation is based upon their eschatological perspective. So, for that reason, I have chosen not to include anything from Revelation in this discussion.   The Bible does not specifically say who Cain’s wife was. The only possible answer is that Cain’s wife was his sister or niece or great-niece, etc. The Bible does not say how old Cain was when he killed Abel ( Genesis 4:8 ). Since they were both farmers, they were likely both full-grown adults, possibly with families of their own. Adam and Eve surely had given birth to more children than just Cain and Abel at the time Abel was killed. They definitely had many more children later ( Genesis 5:4 ). The fact that Cain was scared for his own life after he killed Abel ( Genesis 4:14 ) indicates that there were likely many other children and perhaps even grandchildren of Adam and Eve already living at that time. Cain’s wife ( Genesis 4:17 ) was a daughter or granddaughter of Adam and Eve. Since Adam and Eve were the first (and only) human beings, their children would have no other choice than to intermarry.
