Verse:    Isaiah 46:4 ‘I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.’ - This is one of those very reassuring promises from God’s Word. - He undertakes to be your God throughout your lifetime. - There is never a moment when He is not there, or when He has left you. - He will care for you, He will carry you and He will save you, PRAYER:  Lord, thank You that right now You are with me.     The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man ( Genesis 2:7 ) and animals ( Genesis 1:30 ;   6:17 ;   7:15 ,   22 ) have the “breath of life”; that is, both man and animals are living beings. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God ( Genesis 1:26-27 ), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death. The Bible mentions six specific people who committed suicide: Abimelech ( Judges 9:54 ), Saul ( 1 Samuel 31:4 ), Saul’s armor-bearer ( 1 Samuel 31:4–6 ),  Ahithophel  ( 2 Samuel 17:23 ), Zimri ( 1 Kings 16:18 ), and Judas ( Matthew 27:5 ). Verse:    John 1:50 Jesus said to him, ‘You will see greater things than these.’ - The Lord wants to take you on to greater things. - Don’t settle for more of the same, believe for more. - He wants to take you from glory to glory and from strength to strength. - So put God first in all you do, and watch what He will do. PRAYER:  Lord, thank You that You have so much more in store for me. Verse:    Psalm 138:3 ‘On the day I called, You answered me; And You made me bold and confident with renewed strength in my life.’ - The security of knowing that God hears our call, give us confidence. - He wants to come alongside you to embolden and empower you. - Know for sure that He hears you, and He will be with you, regardless of the flood. - May He come and renew your strength and give you confidence. But all too often their understanding of the rapture is based more on popular writings like the  Left Behind  series than Scripture itself. The intent of this article is to look at what the Bible has to say about the rapture. What Is the Rapture? Rapture is not a word that is found in Scripture. But it is used to describe a very biblical doctrine; the return of Christ and the gathering up of his elect. This doctrine is central to the hope that we have as believers. There are many scenarios of the end times that have been drawn from Jesus’ Revelation to John. But I do not find that there are any unambiguous references to the rapture contained in Revelation.   The Bible does not specifically say who Cain’s wife was. The only possible answer is that Cain’s wife was his sister or niece or great-niece, etc. The Bible does not say how old Cain was when he killed Abel ( Genesis 4:8 ). Since they were both farmers, they were likely both full-grown adults, possibly with families of their own. Adam and Eve surely had given birth to more children than just Cain and Abel at the time Abel was killed. They definitely had many more children later ( Genesis 5:4 ). The fact that Cain was scared for his own life after he killed Abel ( Genesis 4:14 ) indicates that there were likely many other children and perhaps even grandchildren of Adam and Eve already living at that time.
