What is Scientology? The Church of Scientology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard and is known as the religion of the stars. Some well-known Hollywood celebrities are members, including Tom Cruise and John Travolta. The teachings of the church are a blend of pseudoscience, Occultism, and science fiction. It teaches that we have an immortal soul called a Thetan, and once we recognize us we can gain superpowers. Yeah, some pretty crazy stuff.

Jesus Christ is demoted in Scientology to below the level of operating thetan, meaning that Scientologists can become greater than Jesus Christ! Scientology is also a very expensive religion. Former Scienologist Leah Remini said she spent millions of dollars supporting the church.

Then there's Xenu, a galactic warlord that Scientologists learn about once they reach OT III. Scientologist fervently deny him to the public, but the internet and former members have exposed him to the public. They have revealed how Scientology works.

There's branch of Scientology called the Sea Org in which members are required to sign a billion year contract to promise to server the church in this life and in future lives after becoming reincarnated.

The Bible offers a balanced approach to setting goals that includes making plans yet doing so with wisdom and humility.
