Enjoy What He’s Given You

According as his divine power hath given unto us all
things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue
(2 Peter 1:3).
Galatians 4:1 says, “Now I say, That the heir, as long
as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant,
though he be lord of all.” The heir is one who has an
inheritance. However, though he owns everything, as long as
he’s a child, he can’t enjoy his inheritance; rather, he’s placed
under tutors and instructors, to bring him up to maturity.
This is what God does for us through the ministry
of His Word. We’re taught and tutored on our inheritance
in Christ. Even though all things are yours (1 Corinthians
3:21), you’ll not be able to enjoy your inheritance, if you’re
not trained in the Word. It’s the reason the Lord gave the
ministry gifts to the Church: “And he gave some, apostles; and
some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints…” (Ephesians
4:11-12).
We read in our opening verse that His divine power
has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. What
does that mean? It means you have everything that has to do
with life; they’re yours now to enjoy! If you’re not enjoying
your inheritance today as you should, it’ll be for one simple
reason; something the Lord said in Hosea 4:6: “My people
are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” It’s ignorance that
makes some of God’s children walk through life, suffering and
afflicted with pain.
So, refuse to be ignorant. The quality of your life is the
direct result of the measure of knowledge of God’s Word in

You can’t have a life greater than your understanding,
and application of spiritual truths. Keep living in, and growing
by the Word, and you’ll live to your highest potentials in life.
Keep the Word in your heart and in your mouth always,
for with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. That
means you appropriate your inheritance in Christ Jesus, with
your faith-filled confessions.
PRAYER
Blessed Father, I thank you for
giving me all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, freely to
enjoy. You’ve made known to me
the path of life; you’ve filled me
with joy in your presence, and
eternal pleasures at your right
hand. You’re my light, and the
glory of my life. In you I have
health, prosperity, and
abundance, in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
