Bible Blessings

The First Commandment Putting God First Exodus 20:3 Christ was the living embodiment of the Law—He lived love. His life was a call to action, a call to do something—a call to love. We should strive to emulate His perfect example. When Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments, He said, “Do this: Love God and love others.” In our personal walk with God, we’ve come to view the Ten Commandments as a call to action—a call to love. With that mindset, let’s take a look at the first commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” Exodus 20:3 (KJV). God’s call to action: Put Me first in your life—above everything and everyone. Talk to Me first thing in the morning and last thing before your head hits the pillow, and let’s have a running conversation throughout the day—a continual stream of dialogue. Sing My praises and worship Me all day long, celebrating our deep, abiding relationship. Please join us as we put God first in our lives, strengthening the most important relationship we’ll ever have. ~Randy & Trena Reed Please click here for more insights from God’s Word: http://www.facebook.com/WalkingThroughTheWord
