Rejoice In The Word!!

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4).
The Word of God leaves us in no doubt as to the way we ought to live as Christians. We ought to live a happy and joyous life always. You ought to ‘rejoice’ in the Lord, no matter what happens around you. I want you to notice the double emphasis on the word “rejoice” in the opening scripture. It lets us know that it’s your season to rejoice and the set time for your joy to be full!
“What if the circumstances of my life aren’t such that should give room for singing and rejoicing?” You might want to ask! Well, respond with songs and rejoice all the same! You have to understand that your happy spirit dictates what goes on around you. Refuse to allow the circumstances of life dictate your joy. I’m talking about being joyful in the Spirit-the kind of joy that transcends physical circumstances and emotions and responds with songs! When your faith is challenged, that’s the time to rejoice and sing unto the Lord.

Understand that sin, sickness, poverty, failure and the devil have all been defeated; so nothing can successfully stand against you! No wonder the Bible says to you, “rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8)! Refuse to allow anything make you sad, discouraged or despondent, for you were born into the life of rejoicing. You don’t need a comedian or humorist to make you joyful; the joy of the Lord is in your spirit! So, learn to be joyful; and to respond in faith with singing unto the Lord. Hallelujah!
