Lights In The Month Of Light

Thought For Today: Celebrating Lights in the month of Lights! And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3). This month has been declared by the Holy Spirit as the month of Lights, a special time to shine forth the glorious light of the gospel of Christ with great intensity. The gospel has been committed to your trust. Your ultimate desire should be to impact your world with this Gospel. As a child of God, this is your destiny and primary responsibility. Understand that irrespective of race, status or location, everyone needs Jesus and you must let the passion for the Lord motivate you to express and manifest the love and compassion of Christ to the hurting and dying in our world. One of the major ways to achieve this is through conscious and consistent partnership. We would like to use this opportunity to congratulate all our ministry partners, especially our award winners and other delegates who attended the just concluded International Pastors’ and Partners’ Conference (IPPC 2012) in Lagos-Nigeria. Thank you for making the Gospel known to so many this year through your financial participation in the ministry. Thank you for devoting your time, efforts, and resources to the furtherance of the Gospel. You have shone your lights so brightly throughout this year and turned so many unto righteousness and we celebrate you in this month of Lights. Hallelujah! As we approach the end of 2012 – the Year of the Word of God, become inspired to be a more effective soul winner in the coming year through your partnership. You must see beyond every limitation and refuse anything obstructing your view in this great responsibility. Ensure that the kingdom is advancing through your partnership. There’s so much more you can do to ensure God’s Word prevails in your city, region, and the world. Brace yourself for the challenge because the field of the world is ripe and indeed ready for a plenteous harvest and we are partners together with God in this harvest. Thank you and God bless you! What does the Bible say about setting goals?

The Bible offers a balanced approach to setting goals that includes making plans yet doing so with wisdom and humility. Jesus’ illustration of building a tower implies that it is a good thing to have set goals ( Luke 14:28 ). To live with no motivation or planning is not God’s desire.  Proverbs 6:6-11  says, “Go to the ant, O sluggard;     consider her ways, and be wise. Jesus taught that the condition of a person’s heart will manifest itself in his or her behavior: “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.
