Exercise Dominion Over Devils and Dempns

Thought for Today: Exercise Dominion Over Devils and Demons

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10: 18-19).
The main reason many Christians have problem with the devil is because they’ve given him a place in their lives, contrary to the Apostle Paul’s admonition in Ephesians 4:27. They limp and grimace whenever they feel the slightest pain in their leg. The Lord Jesus instructs us to cast out devils (Mark 16:17), so don’t wait one moment before you get the devil off your body or situation. Once you can resist the devil in your life, he will flee from you. The bible says, “ So, be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Note that the scripture above didn’t say ‘he’ll run from you’ or ‘move from you’, it says “…he’ll flee…” That means to run as in fright! Anytime you stand firmly on God’s Word against the devil, you frighten him.
The Christian is of a higher rank than any demon hatched out of hell, and that includes their master, satan. The new creation is superior to satan! Whenever you tell the devil to quit, he’s got to quit. It makes no difference if it’s just one devil or a legion of them.
Therefore resist his thoughts, command him to take his hands off your body, family, finance, whatever it may be. He doesn’t have any power over a born again Spirit-filled Christian. You are not as susceptible to his attack as you may have thought because as a child of God, you are of the highest rank amongst all God’s creation. Hallelujah!
