The Power Of Your Thoughts

THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS Pastor Chris For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… (Proverbs 23:7). Thoughts are pictures of the mind that have constructive or destructive potential. Thoughts also have power and create realities. The quickest way to affect your thoughts is through mental pictures. You've got to see first in your mind the things you desire for your life. In Genesis 15:1, God told Abraham, "…Fear not…I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." But instead of Abraham to be excited at God's Word, he complained bitterly: "Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don't even have a son? Since I don't have a son, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household, will inherit all my wealth" (Genesis 15:2-3 TNLB). God, however, knew what to do to make Abraham believe; He gave him a mental picture. He "...brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number th

Have Faith!!

And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God" (Romans 4:19-20). The Bible describes Abraham as a very wealthy man (Genesis 13:2). He however didn’t become rich by hard work alone or by good luck. Hebrews 11:8 says, “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” In other words, Abraham became great by faith. We are the children of Abraham, therefore the life we live now must be by faith (Galatians 2:20). Faith in God and in His Word gives you tremendous results in all your endeavours. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God because anyone that comes to Him must believe that He is the One Who supplies, heals, provides and rewards (Hebrews11:6

Christian Sex Truth

Image
Christian Sex Truth by David Lee Martin Christian sex is not spoken about in many churches. Rather than grasping the truth about Christian sex and intimacy in Christian marriage from the liberating teachings of the Scriptures, many Christians are unfortunately learning about sex from the world, and then finding themselves confused once they are in a romantic relationship. But what does the Bible really say about sex? In this article we will outline the fundamental teachings from the Bible about Christian sex and intimacy in marriage. 1. Sex was created by God to be enjoyed. 2. Sex was commanded and commended by God right at the very beginning when He told Adam and Eve to multiply and be fruitful. He called this very good! (See Genesis 1 and 2) 3. The Bible does not condemn sex, but does lay guidelines for sexual conduct for our pleasure and protection. 4. Within marriage (never without) sex is encouraged and Christian husband and Christian wife a

Rejoice In The Word!!

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4). The Word of God leaves us in no doubt as to the way we ought to live as Christians. We ought to live a happy and joyous life always. You ought to ‘rejoice’ in the Lord, no matter what happens around you. I want you to notice the double emphasis on the word “rejoice” in the opening scripture. It lets us know that it’s your season to rejoice and the set time for your joy to be full! “What if the circumstances of my life aren’t such that should give room for singing and rejoicing?” You might want to ask! Well, respond with songs and rejoice all the same! You have to understand that your happy spirit dictates what goes on around you. Refuse to allow the circumstances of life dictate your joy. I’m talking about being joyful in the Spirit-the kind of joy that transcends physical circumstances and emotions and responds with songs! When your faith is challenged, that’s the time to rejoice and sing unto the Lord. Understa

Jesus is Coming!!

*MUST READ** A pastor was travelling last week, he saw an old man, and gave him a lift. While they were going, the old man said; my son, do you know what happ ... ened in Heaven last night? The pastor was so terrified and hurriedly parked and asked; Sir, are you sleeping? How did you get the information about Heaven? The Old man said; last night in Heaven God became very angry with man and asked the Angels to blow the trumpet. The angels picked up the trumpets and as they were about to blow it WHEN, Jesus fell down and began to plead in tears. The blood that came out of His hands and body were very fresh. He told God that His death shouldn't be in vain. God couldn't stand the pains of the saint and the wickedness of the evil ones. So He said; "I AM GIVING THEM THEIR LAST CHANCE." Jesus then turned to the angels and told them to move down in their numerous numbers to tell the world that: "THE END IS NEAR, JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON". The pastor (s

It's The Month Of Joy!!!

To walk in the fullness of this revelation throughout this month and beyond, you must make up your mind to be joyful all the times. The Bible says, “… the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). The joy of the Lord in your heart is where your strength is, and nothing should get that joy out of you. That joy doesn’t originate from this world and it doesn’t depend on the circumstances of your life because it is the product of the recreated human spirit. “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance… (Galatians 5:22-23). It doesn’t matter the situation you’re facing right now, you can still sing amidst severe challenges or persecutions like Paul and Silas did (Acts 16:25). Understand that your joy is independent of the circumstances. The problems you encounter are temporal so they can’t last for long; they are the stepping-stones you require to move you to a greater level of life. The Bible says, “…count it a

All You Need Is The Word Of God!!

a woman came and pleaded with Jesus to heal her daughter who was tormented by a devil (Mark 7:25). The Master said to her, “…go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter” (Mark 7:29). He spoke in a present perfect tense: “the demon is gone out of thy daughter!” This was all the woman needed to hear, and she knew her daughter had been healed. The woman and the Roman centurion had one thing in common: faith in the Word of the Master! This should be your attitude as well. Take the Word of God as the final authority in your life. If the Word of God says you’re holy, then you’re holy! From that point on live, talk and act as the holy, for that’s God’s Word of truth concerning you. If the Word of God says you’re healed, believe it and keep declaring your health, irrespective of the symptoms you may be feeling. This Sunday, as we gather all over the world for the Global Communion Service, get ready to receive that specific Word from the Lord concerning the new month, knowing that all y
